Pricing

Fixed price where the scope is clear, time-based where it is not. Always agreed in writing before work starts.

Three ways to engage

01

Analyse and prototype

A short, fixed-price piece of work: we analyse the need, then build a working prototype to put in front of users. You come away with a tested idea, a prioritised scope and a realistic estimate for the build. It is also the lowest-risk way to start.

02

Fixed-scope build

Once the scope is agreed, we quote each release as a fixed price. You know what a release will cost before it starts, and because we deliver in small steps you can adjust between them.

03

Ongoing development and support

Time-based work for improvements, fixes and new features after launch, on a regular monthly arrangement or as needed. Hours are agreed up front and reported plainly.

What affects the price

  • The size of the scope: how many workflows, screens and types of user.
  • Integration with the systems you already use.
  • Moving data across from existing tools or spreadsheets.
  • Security, privacy and accessibility requirements.
  • How fast you need it.

How a quote works

  1. A short conversation about what you are trying to do.
  2. A written proposal with the scope, the price, the timeline and what is not included.
  3. You decide whether to go ahead. If you want to start small, we suggest analysis or a prototype.

Common questions

How much will my project cost?

It depends on the scope, and we would rather give you a real number than a guess. Tell us what you need and we will come back with a written proposal.

Do you work to a fixed price?

Where the scope is clear, yes: per release, in writing. Where it is genuinely uncertain, we say so and start with analysis or a prototype, so that the price we quote is one we can stand behind.

Can we start small?

Yes. Analysis or a prototype is the usual way to start, and it does not commit you to a build.

Who owns the code?

You do. Source code and documentation are handed over as part of the work.
